Transfer News: Chelsea face the prospect of shelling out a huge fee for Brazilian sensation Endrick
As per Brazilian media outlet Lance, via AS (h/t Express), Palmeiras are attempting to include an £83m buy-out clause for Chelsea target Endrick. The 15-year-old Brazilian sensation has drawn comparisons with World Cup winner Ronaldo, also seeing him linked with Premier League Manchester United.
The teenager has made a name for himself in his native Brazil, becoming one of the best goalscorers of his age group, putting up eye-popping numbers at the youth level. With performances like this, there is little question about why the player has also been compared with Paris Saint Germain striker Neymar, who was also a highly-rated talent in Brazil from a very young age.
Currently turning out for their junior side, Palmeiras are said to be working behind-the-scenes on committing Endrick to his first professional contract when he turns 16 later this year. The club has been made aware of the European heavyweights circling for the wonderkid and are trying their best to hold on to their player as long as they can.
With Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Barcelona, Manchester City, and many more clubs ready to swoop in for Endrick, Palmeiras believe that an £83m release clause could act as a potential deterrent.
We may be looking at not only a potential superstar for the future in Endrick but also the possibility of being the world’s most expensive teenager if any of Europe’s elite decide to splash the cash for the highly-rated player. Palmeiras are well aware that the teenager will be eyeing a move abroad and are willing to make the most of the situation when it happens.
Endrick once again proved his credentials as a top prospect, winning the recent Copinha de Sao Paulo, where he added an impressive six goals to his name in the competition. One of the most important junior tournaments in Brazil, it has helped springboard the likes of Neymar and Vinicius Junior to the attention of Europe’s top clubs. Endrick also appears to be following in their footsteps.
Endrick certainly seems to know what he’s doing, using his success at the Copinha de Sao Paulo to boost his name and image to garner the attention of Europe’s heavy hitters. Like many Brazilians before him, the 15-year-old is sure to want to make a name for himself in the best teams and play in the biggest competitions.
It is incredible to see the hype surrounding a player who has yet to sign his first professional contract. The striker seems to be loving life in Brazil playing in the youth sides for Palmeiras and will be keen to make it to their first team and take his talents to the next level.

If he continues down the same path, an early call-up to the national side is likely, which is the biggest platform Endrick can use to establish himself as one of the world’s best and brightest talents. The teenager seems eager to prove that age is just a number, and if you’re talented enough, you can make it anywhere.
Endrick may have dreams of playing in Europe, but it may be a tough ask for one of Europe’s elite to pay through the nose to secure his talents. Of course, the youngster can make the decision easier if he continues to put up impressive numbers in the years to come.
