Transfer News: Chelsea face Armando Broja decision in the summer
According to the Express, Chelsea are set to brace themselves for multiple offers regarding Armando Broja in the summer. The Blues academy product has enjoyed a stellar start to life in the Premier League at Southampton, where he is on loan till the end of the season.
Broja swapped life in London for that on the south coast at the beginning of the season. Chelsea sent the player out on loan to help him gain some regular first-team minutes and Premier League experience to see if the Albanian could make it in the big leagues.
The striker has responded to Chelsea’s experiment with astounding results, establishing himself in the Southampton side and scoring regularly for the Saints in his outings in the league. The centre-forward again put in an impressive performance against Manchester City last weekend, leading the line with aplomb.
Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel is a huge admirer of Broja. The Albanian impressed the Blues manager during pre-season at Cobham but departed on loan before the current campaign began in search of regular playtime.
His impressive displays at St. Mary’s Stadium have convinced Southampton to consider an offer to sign the player permanently at the end of the season. The player has taken to life at his current club, and at just 20-years-old, established himself as a regular forward at a top-flight club.
The Blues will have to brace themselves for multiple offers for the Albanian international when he returns to his parent club from his loan stint at the Saints. A meeting is expected to take place between the club and his representatives. So far, it is unsure what Chelsea are expected to decide regarding Broja’s future.
Chelsea currently boasts of top attacking talents, with Timo Werner and Kai Havertz leading us to a Champions League triumph last season. This term, we have brought in Romelu Lukaku to boost the frontline further. With Christian Pulisic also in the ranks, Chelsea is not short of options, at least on paper.
Broja is certainly not an upgrade on the current stock of forwards at the club but seems to have taken to life in the Premier League a lot easier than some of the Blues stars. This augurs well for his chances to make the cut at Stamford Bridge.

Another loan move could still potentially be on the cards at the end of the season if Chelsea considers him a talent that is unlikely to be first-choice in west London. However, with the likes of Southampton ready to secure Broja’s signature in the summer, the Blues could be tempted to sell the forward to garner some funds for reinforcements in other departments.
If so, this would be a terrible mistake on our part; having already lost striker Tammy Abraham, we must avoid giving up on promising players too quickly. After all, our big money signings have barely shown their worth so far.
