Chelsea lead several European giants in race to sign ‘generational talent’ playing in Brazil

Transfer News: Chelsea and Manchester City are leading the race to sign ‘generational talent’ Endrick

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea and Manchester City are believed to have the edge over the plethora of European heavyweights tracking Brazilian wonderkid Endrick.

Currently only 15 years of age, Endrick has provided breathtaking performances at the Copinha tournament, which was attended by top scouts from the biggest clubs in Europe. He scored five goals in three games at the U20 tournament.

With the likes of Rodrygo, Vinicius Jr, and Neymar Jr all making a name for themselves in Europe after joining from Brazil, it is understandable why clubs such as Manchester United, Man City, Chelsea, and Liverpool are on the lookout for the next big talent from South America.

Brazilian wonder-kid Endrick has been giving spectacular performances lately.

Along with winning the most valuable player of the tournament, Endrick also won the goal of the tournament. More impressively, he did these while playing against players that were older than him. Several English top-flight teams are eying to offer him a professional contract in July when he turns 16.

What next for Endrick?

But currently, It is believed that Premier League heavyweights Chelsea and Manchester City are the frontrunners in the race to get his signature. Meanwhile, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are also keeping a close eye on the situation.

Palmeiras believe they can get a transfer fee over €30m (£29.3m) for a youngster that they think is a ‘generational talent.’ They cannot be blamed, considering they would know that Endrick is a talented player and big European clubs want his services.

Endrick is believed to be an admirer of Real Madrid and is represented by the same agent as Vinicius Junior. Even though there wouldn’t be any scarcity of buyers when deciding his next destination, the player’s preference may certainly be a factor to consider.

Even though Chelsea have some big names in the forward line, the Blues forwards aren’t going to play at the top level forever. Romelu Lukaku isn’t getting any younger while Timo Werner’s goal-scoring output isn’t out of this world. Having sold Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham last summer, it’s not like bringing in a new player up front would hurt.

Endrick has potential to become a top player in the next decade. Considering the current news, our board is going in the right direction. We would still have to jostle with the likes of Man City for his signature, but after news of their apparent capture of Julian Alvarez, it remains to be seen if they bring in another young forward.
