Callum Hudson-Odoi called up for England U-21s along with Conor Gallagher

According to the Independent, Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi has been called up for the England U-21s along with Conor Gallagher. With the tournament starting on March 25 for England, a host of young stars have been called up for the U-21 Euro 2021.

Among the high-profile names is Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi. The Englishman has been tried in a different role this season under Thomas Tuchel. While he usually likes to play as a winger, Tuchel’s change in formation means that he is having to play as a makeshift right wing-back.

To be honest, Hudson-Odoi has done immensely well in that role until his injury. With those performances in an unfamiliar role, it is no surprise that he has been called up to the squad. Another name that has been called up will delight the fans.

Conor Gallagher, who is on loan from Chelsea at West Brom has also been called up. He has been an impressive figure for the Baggies despite the team struggling to fight relegation. He is one of the most consistent players for them, featuring in almost every game.
