Chelsea fans react on Twitter as Jorginho penalty rescues point at home vs Manchester United
According to the club’s official Twitter account, Chelsea could only pick up a 1-1 draw against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge in their gameweek 14 fixture in the Premier League.
We put in the good work over the last eight weeks since losing to Juventus in the UCL. The only team we had dropped points against was Burnley, and that was a one-off game. The Blues had to prove our mettle against a side like Man United, especially since they have been low on confidence.
Thomas Tuchel was brave in his selection process as he kept Mason Mount, Romelu Lukaku, Christian Pulisic, and Kai Havertz on the bench. The game began with the Blues in complete control of the ball.
Missed points for the Blues?
But we had the age-old problem of creating only half chances. The team suffered against Liverpool and Man City, but this was a United side that had Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly as their centre-backs on the night. The first big chance in the game fell to Callum Hudson-Odoi, but it was saved with the outstretched leg of David de Gea.
Antonio Rudiger also clattered the bar before half-time. The Red Devils meant business in the second half, and a failure to retain the ball from Jorginho on the back of a dreadful corner allowed Jadon Sancho to pounce and put the ball in Edouard Mendy’s net- a rare sight nowadays.
But to our side’s credit, we retaliated heavily by creating several chances. Eventually, the Blues won a penalty after Thiago Silva reached the ball quicker than Aaron wan-Bissaka. Jorginho calmly slotted the ball to equalize. Tuchel brought in Mount, Lukaku, and Pulisic to change the game, but the Belgian centre-forward was not provided with big chances.
Towards the end, Rudiger found himself in empty space 6 yards away from goal but skied the ball into the roof of the stadium. We had to settle for a draw, but remain top of the Premier League table despite both Liverpool and Manchester City winning their games this weekend.
Let us now see how some fans reacted on Twitter to our side failing to pick up the victory against United.
It ends honours even. ⏱

• Hudson-Odoi lack of decision making
• Ziyech. Werner. Hudson-Odoi front 3?
• jorginho doing favour for our rivals
• playing Alonso on LWB and wen azpi is available
• Making subs on too late
Drawing against United embarrassing 😡😡
FT Chelsea 1-1 United

Never doubt a Manager's bounce
One of tuchel worst in-game tactics today
Timo invisible, should nv be at CF ever
Jorginho and Alonslow predictable shockers
Small redemption, but papers over cracks
Ben and Kante are big misses. Doubt for title charge
Completely undeserved draw for man u. Disgraceful. Practically played 9 at the back and with the only goal coming from a critical mistake. Disgusting.

Not a good performance at all. Our attackers are so wasteful. 22 shots and no open play goal. So poor.

Werner with lot of misses. RLC terrible in midfield and dribble to often without a final output.
J5 that was a poor touch and I wonder what he was doing.
Still top, still in.
