“Not hard to follow”- Tuchel addresses future of 21-year-old Chelsea loanee impressing for PL rivals

Thomas Tuchel is closely following Conor Gallagher’s loan spell at Crystal Palace

According to Football.London, In a press conference yesterday, Thomas Tuchel accepted that it’s hard to neglect Conor Gallagher and his performances at this moment, and he also agreed that he was in the meeting to decide the Chelsea loanee’s future earlier this year.

Conor Gallagher has provided some of the top-notch performances in the last few matchdays. The most recent one was the annihilation of Manchester City at Etihad, where the 21-year-old was a standout performer.

Though Man City was reduced to 10 men after a red card on Aymeric Laporte, there was no denying the quality of Crystal Palace’s football. In that match, Conor set up Wilfried Zaha primarily and then scored once to beat city by a 2-0 margin in their backyard.

Conor Gallagher came from Chelsea’s youth ranks.

This season Conor has played every game other than the one against his parent club Chelsea for Patrick Vieira’s side. He has three goals and two assists in 9 Premier League games

Chelsea manager Thomas Thuchel suggested that it’s hard to miss Conor’s performances as he has been giving so many of them recently.

“He is not hard to follow because he is standing out every single matchday, so it’s an easy one to follow and credit to him.”

The German manager also praised his work rate and efforts to perform better every day.

“Conor’s heart is so, so big; you could wake up him at 4 am, and he’ll start running and sprinting, collecting balls and winning duels. This is what he does.”

The 48-year-old manager also suggested that he had the quality to fight for a place at Chelsea. But he chose the ‘challenge’ to play for the Glaziers.

Since leaving Chelsea this summer, he has utilized every opportunity thrown at him. Furthermore, he has established himself as one of the most promising youngsters by becoming a pillar of the Eagles’ success. He could be a great asset to Chelsea if he continues this form.

At this moment, a homecoming for the midfielder is unlikely as Tuchel thinks he is an integral part of Crystal Palace’s squad, and he also believes there’s ‘no need’ to change that.
