“Stand out”- Journo reveals what 24-year-old’s South American star’s agent said about Chelsea interest

Fabrizio Romano reveals what the agent of Luis Diaz said about Chelsea interest

According to the reliable journalist, Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, the agent of Luis Diaz revealed his thoughts on the interest from Chelsea and Liverpool in an interview with Radio Renascenca. Diaz has risen to even further heights with his exceptional performances for Porto in the Primeira Liga.

The 24-year-old has scored 11 goals while assisting twice in 16 matches across all competitions for the Portuguese giants. He also had a spectacular campaign at Copa America for Colombia as he was crowned the top scorer of the competition, tied with Lionel Messi.

His performances have attracted interest across Europe and, many clubs have been keeping tabs on the talented winger. Chelsea and Liverpool were interested in getting his services as he continues to make a name for himself in Portugal.

Luis Diaz celebrates after scoring against Argentina.

“Chelsea and Liverpool interest rumours? It’s normal. If a player plays well, if he starts to stand out, if the majority considers him the best player in the Portuguese League… it’s normal.”

His agent did not pay much heed to the interest from the Premier League and brushed it off by saying that it was normal. He added that many people in Portugal consider him the best in the league and it is only natural that other clubs show interest.

Since he is a representative for the forward, he is bound to know how things work in such markets. He could be brushing these interests off, knowing that they are just paper talks and are not reliable. This would make sense as he would be very likely to know about any concrete interests from other clubs.

Time will tell what the future holds in store for the highly talented Colombian international. Should the Blues be interested in the attacker, they should contact the agent to know their stance to facilitate a future transfer.

However, there is a long way to go before anything solid can be agreed upon between both parties.
