Eden Hazard wants to fight for his place at Real Madrid amidst Chelsea links

According to Marca, (h/t Metro) Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard has no intention of leaving the Spanish giants as he is willing to fight for his place under Carlo Ancelotti. He has made up his mind to stay put.

The Belgian was regarded as one of the world’s finest players when he signed for Real Madrid in June 2019. But he has looked a pale shadow of himself since the £103.5million move to Santiago Bernabeu. Injuries and a loss of form have however reared their ugly head in Spain.

He has 110 goals in 352 games, making him one of the finest attackers to ever grace the English top flight.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti was however coy on Hazard’s future back in October. He refused to confirm whether the player will stay or leave in the upcoming transfer windows. While Hazard is ready to fight for his place, it remains to be seen if he will be permitted to do so.

“Never in my coaching career have I forced a player to stay when they want to leave. In my personal opinion, there is no question about that. If a player wants to leave, he will leave. There is not much doubt about this.”
