Club legend to make sensational Chelsea return amidst “sad” comments from national team boss

Real Madrid star Eden Hazard to return to Chelsea amidst Roberto Martinez’s suggestive comments

According to Tomas Gonzalez via Madrid Xtra, as quoted by Absolute Chelsea on Twitter (h/t Football.London), Real Madrid star Eden Hazard could make a sensational return to Chelsea in the January transfer window.

The Blues legend left Stamford Bridge to move to the Spanish capital in a deal that saw the Los Blancos pay £88.5m excluding add-ons for his services. However, things have not gone according to plan as injuries and a loss of form have plagued him in Spain.

After leaving England in 2019, the Belgian was involved only in 54 matches with five goals and nine assists to his name. He has fallen down the pecking order under Carlo Ancelotti as Vinicius Junior, Marco Asensio, and Rodrygo have all been preferred instead.

Eden Hazard has struggled at Real Madrid.

The winger’s time at Santiago Bernabeu seems to be coming to an ended, and a move to the Blues in January is possible. Thomas Tuchel’s side are interested in a loan deal, which would see the fan-favourite return to his former club.

Belgian manager, Roberto Martinez revealed that Hazard is depressed about his current situation. He added that the attacker is in his best physical condition since his move to the Madrid club. This augurs well for Chelsea who are currently top of the Premier League table.

“Hazard is medically in his best moment since he arrived at Real Madrid. He is sad in football terms, this is the first time that he is experiencing this situation.”

Martinez expressed that it is the first time the former Chelsea ace feels good about his fitness since the transfer to Spain. His return to Chelsea would be accepted by the fans after what he achieved during his time at the Bridge. However, assessments on the cost and his condition need to be made before the transfer is finalised to reduce the risk involved.

It remains to be seen what the future holds in store for the Blues legend as the winter transfer window draws closer.
