Real Madrid and Bayern Munich ready to meet wage demands of Chelsea ace Antonio Rudiger
According to The Athletic (h/t Express), Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are ready to meet the wage demands of Chelsea ace Antonio Rudiger.
The 28-year-old is in the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge, and there is a lot of speculation surrounding his future. Although never the most prominent defender under Frank Lampard, the German has taken his game to new levels under fellow countryman Thomas Tuchel.
The last nine months have been nothing short of a dream for the Former AS Roma man, who has won the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup. In fact, he is also a very crucial part of the team that is currently sitting at the top of the Premier League table.
However, this may just be Rudiger’s last season in a Chelsea jersey. The German is said to be ‘struggling’ to sign a contract extension, and various clubs are now circling to secure his signature next summer.
Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are both said to be willing to pay the 28-year-old his necessary wages to secure him on a free transfer. The Spanish giants lost Raphael Varane and Sergio Ramos this summer and would be keen on adding reinforcements.
Similarly, Bayern Munich also lost David Alaba to Real Madrid and have always been known to swoop the first team players from the German national team. However, while both clubs are keen on a move for the centre-back, he is said to be wanting to stay in West London.
