According to TEAMtalk (h/t The Express), Borussia Dortmund are claimed to be interested in signing Chelsea attackers namely Timo Werner, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic. Several first-team stars are said to be unsure about their future due to the lack of guaranteed game time.
The Blues have had an excellent start to their 2021-22 campaign as they are currently the Premier League leaders. They have had a slight blip in the Champions League but they hold second place in their group.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have had a couple of busy transfer windows and it has resulted in the squad being inflated. It may have led to uncertainty among certain players as they have doubts about their future within the team.
It is stated that Dortmund supposedly want to take advantage of this situation and bolster their team. They are claimed to be keeping tabs on the three players mentioned above.
With Romelu Lukaku’s signing, Werner has had a reduced role within the team and has struggled to get consistent game time. Hudson-Odoi started getting minutes only after the injuries to the three forwards meaning he could go back to his previous state when they recover.
Pulisic, on the other hand, has been suffering from nibbling injuries throughout his time at Stamford Bridge. As a result, he has not been able to build on his early promise for the Champions League winners.
The English club needs to find solutions quickly as having such a squad is necessary to challenge multiple silverware. Minutes need to be distributed so that most players are happy and harmony is created within the squad.
