“Both injured”- Tuchel rules out key Chelsea duo for Aston Villa clash

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will be without N’Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic vs Aston Villa

Chelsea boss have provided the latest injury updates on players in the press conference before the Aston Villa game. According to Football.London, Romelu Lukaku is fit despite undergoing a scan on his thigh, while N’Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic both are ruled out for the clash as they are injured.

Thomas Tuchel, before the game against Aston Villa at home, gave updates on the players. The big relief for the Blues was that Romelu Lukaku was considered fit for the clash this weekend, while the team will be missing a key midfield player N’Golo Kante who came injured after the international break. Following him on the injury list is US international Christian Pulisic.

Romelu Lukaku is fit and available for Aston Villa.

Speaking ahead of the game, the Chelsea boss, during the press conference, said:

“Unfortunately we have two players out in N’Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic. They came back both injured. N’Golo got injured in the Liverpool game and still suffers a little bit.

“We’re trying with N’Golo for Tuesday. For Christian, he returned yesterday on crutches. An Ankle injury with about 10 days.”

In the absence of N’Golo Kante, Saul Niguez could be given the start against Aston Villa at home. Niguez made a deadline day move to Chelsea from Atletico Madrid on loan. The Spaniard may have a big role to play under Thomas Tuchel and can be a key player for the Chelsea team this summer.

Lukaku on the other hand has already got off to a good start with a goal against Arsenal. The player had Chelsea supporters concerned after undergoing a scan but the Belgian striker is now expected to be fit for the game.
