Opponent Watch: Manchester City trio return to training ahead of Chelsea clash

According to Football.london, Manchester City are about to get a significant boost in their clash against Chelsea. Pep Guardiola’s side visits Stamford Bridge in what could be billed as a blockbuster fixture which will be the repeat of the Champions League final we saw in May.

We are just five games into the season and there have not been a not of surprises. Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are firmly at the top with 13 points while defending champions Man City are 5th with 10 points. Chelsea have shown that they are ready to challenge for the Premier League crown this season with the new addition of Romelu Lukaku.

Stones and Laporte are back for the Chelsea clash

So far, Chelsea have faced a number of top sides and aside from Liverpool, they had no problem dismantling the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham. However, they could be about to face their biggest test yet with Man City on Saturday. City have looked devastating on occasions but Chelsea are no pushovers.

It would seem City will be welcoming a few players back for the Chelsea clash. John Stones and Aymeric Laporte are set to return from a muscle injury and groin issue respectively. Even Rodri who was missing from the last two games is set to be back. All three players were spotted in training pictures.

The clash promises to be a battling one as both sides are two of the best in the league. City will want to get level after that Champions League loss in May while the Blues will hope to keep up their unbeaten run. An epic showdown awaits the fans.
