Opponent Watch: Juventus duo ruled out of Chelsea Champions League clash
According to Sky Italy (h/t Football.london), Juventus will be without the services of Alvaro Morata and Paulo Dybala for their Champions League clash against Chelsea. Juve manager Max Allegri confirmed that the pair is injured for the game and Moise Kean will likely be spearheading the attack on Wednesday.
In what was the first loss of the season, quite rare those are for Thomas Tuchel, Chelsea were simply bested by a resolute Manchester City. The loss meant that Chelsea are now facing questions over how they bounce back with a number of crucial games to come. The Premier League will have to wait though as they have a huge game against Juventus in the Champions League.
After a narrow win over Zenit St. Petersburg in the first game, Chelsea will fly to Turin as they take on Juve in what is one of the more significant matches in the group. Juventus have not had a great start to the season and only won their first Serie A game of the season last week. The Bianconeri have struggled this season a lot with a number of changes at the club.
It would seem Chelsea have been given a bit of a boost with two of Juve’s key players ruled out of the game. Former Chelsea man Alvaro Morata and star forward Paulo Dybala are set to be out of the game with injuries. Max Allegri confirmed the same while also adding that young Moise Kean would be leading the line in their stead.

It’s not to say that Chelsea will have it easier. Kean is a talented striker and already has experience playing in the Premier League during his time with Everton. However, missing key players like Dybala and Morata are surely a dent to Juve’s chances in the game as Chelsea are not the easiest team to crack open.
