Transfer News: Tiemoue Bakayoko hints at long term AC Milan stay

According to Football.london, Chelsea outcast Tiemoue Bakayoko has hinted at staying at AC Milan beyond his loan spell. The midfielder has headed off to Milan for a second loan spell for two seasons but wants to remain there instead of a return to Chelsea.

Tiemoue Bakayoko never really looked settled at Chelsea since his move from AS Monaco. There were a lot of expectations from him after an impressive season winning the Ligue 1. However, not a lot of people would be wishing that he made the move given the situation currently.

Three loan consecutive loan spells in the last three seasons point to a possibility that Chelsea don’t really need him but are also struggling to find a permanent home for him. Those spells were mixed at best as he returned to Chelsea over the summer. He featured for the club during the preseason as well.

However, a return to AC Milan transpired as the 27-year-old will spend the next two years there. Now that the Frenchman has linked up with the club again, he spoke about wanting to continue in Milan even after the loan spell.

“I would very much like to stay with the Rossoneri. I consider Milan my real home. Here you have to get the most out of it, as it should be.”

Chelsea may not have the need or the place for Bakayoko in their starting XI anymore. Not only do they have established names patrolling the midfield but also ended up adding Saul Niguez to the roster. Even if Bakayoko returns from his loan spell, it’s hard to see him breaking into the Chelsea side.
