According to transfer news from Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are set to be busy with four transfers currently. Jules Kounde’s potential arrival is waiting due to the departure of Kurt Zouma. On the other side, a deal for Saul Niguez is in the works which could see Tiemoue Bakayoko leave.
Firstly, Chelsea are now ready with a final bid for Jules Kounde. The Sevilla defender has been identified as an option in defence to refresh the option at Thomas Tuchel’s disposal. However, Chelsea are holing up the bid due to the delay in Kurt Zouma leaving for West Ham. Personal terms have not been an issue for Kounde at all.
The deal for Zouma is all but completed, with the Frenchman undergoing his medical and paperwork also finalised. Another incoming that is in the works is Saul Niguez. It will only be a loan deal and at this point, there is no clause to buy him permanently.
Both deals for Kounde and Saul are close but still are a bit away from completion. One deal that appears to be close is that of Tiemoue Bakayoko. He will head to AC Milan on loan and they will have an option to extend his loan and sign him permanently for €20m.
It is set to be a busy last few days for Chelsea if all these deals are to go through. The problem has been at some incomings are dependent on outgoings. Provide everything works out, Chelsea could be welcoming Saul and Kounde while bidding adieu to Zouma and Bakayoko.
