According to transfer news from Birmingham Live, Aston Villa are very likely to complete a deal for Chelsea starlet Tino Livramento. Villa have been after the highly-rated defender for a while now. The likes of Southampton and Bournemouth are also said to be after him.
Livramento was named as Chelsea’s academy player of the year for last season. He is one of our most talented prospects and has already made a name for himself at the club. A right wing-back, the youngster can play further ahead or deeper and on the other flank as well.
The teenager could be looking at a move away given the current situation of the right-backs in the first team. Cesar Azpilicueta and Reece James have shared duties there but they are not natural wing-backs. However, that has led to Livramento seeking an exit from the Blues.
Now, Villa are the club most keen on him and are also very likely to complete a deal for him. The recruitment team at Villa want the best British talent on the side and they see that Livramento fits the bill. However, they will face competition from sides such as Southampton and Bournemouth.
Chelsea might be making a bit of an error in allowing the defender to slip through. He could be a decent fit for the wing-back role on the right. It will be interesting to see if the club can keep the teenager at the club. If not, Villa are the most likely to snap him up.
