Erling Haaland attracted to Chelsea switch due to two factors
According to reliable outlet CFCNewsPage (h/t Express), Borussia Dortmund superstar Erling Haaland is attracted towards a transfer to Chelsea this summer due to two factors.
By this time it is no secret that Chelsea are on the lookout for a new striker this summer, with Haaland emerging as a top priority after his stunning exploits with Dortmund.
Since joining the German outfit in January last year, the 21-year-old has plundered 57 goals in 59 games. With 41 strikes in 41 games last season, Haaland helped the Black and Yellows to the DFB Pokal triumph and a top-four finish in Bundesliga.
Chelsea have been hot on the trails of the Norwegian international and rightly so. The Blues offloaded Olivier Giroud to AC Milan while Tammy Abraham is out of favour under Thomas Tuchel, leaving the misfiring Timo Werner as the only out-and-out natural striker available.
If the Blues intend to defend their Champions League crown and become the champions of England as well, bringing in another prolific goalscorer is a necessity. And, Haaland would fit the bill perfectly for Tuchel & co. To that end, Chelsea are planning an offer of £130m for the Norwegian, while also being willing to pay significant fees to his father Alf-Inge Haaland and agent Mino Raiola.
Should that fail, the west Londoners will offer an additional £20m in bonuses that will be triggered based on the number of appearances, goals scored and triumphs with the team.
The report further adds that Haaland is very much attracted to the proposition of joining Chelsea. It is claimed that the 21-year-old is enticed by the club’s financial power as well as the stature, which could help the Blues in pursuit of the forward.

Chelsea are ready to pay Haaland a massive £300,000-a-week salary – three times of what he currently makes – in order to entice him to move to the Bridge. And the player’s camp is also positive about a transfer, feeling that a switch would help the striker elevate his game to the next level.
It all comes down to convincing Borussia Dortmund to part ways with their prized asset.
