Contract News: Chelsea quartet set for new deals

According to news from Mirror, Chelsea are set to hand new contracts to four of their key stars. N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen are all set to be tied down to new deals after a successful campaign.

There are few teams who can say they experienced a turnaround such as Chelsea. From looking entirely directionless midseason to winning the Champions League by the end of it, it was nothing short of spectacular. The Blues also managed to push into the top four of the Premier League.

Now, in the offseason, Chelsea have taken it upon themselves to renew some of the contracts of their key stars. The club are lining up new deals for four of their players. N’Golo Kante reminded everyone why he is the best in the business with some monstrous performances that were central to Chelsea’s Champions League win.

Two of their main defenders, Rudiger and Christensen are in the last year of their contracts. Given how well they performed at the back, it is a no-brainer that they are being handed new deals. Lastly, there’s Jorginho who is simply having one of his best seasons. A constant presence for Chelsea, he is close to lifting the Euros with Italy.
