Young Chelsea trio put their future in doubt after rejecting new contracts

Chelsea trio Tino Livramento, Lewis Bate and Myles Peart-Harris reject new contract

According to a report by Football.london (h/t Daily Star), three highly-rated Chelsea youth prospects Tino Livramento, Lewis Bate and Myles Peart-Harris, have hit a wall in negotiations over a new contract.

The report adds that the Blues can risk losing the trio as they enter into the final 12 months of their Stamford Bridge deal. Thomas Tuchel’s side have begun their pre-season training with a number of youth as well as senior squad members.

However, Livramento, Bate, and Peart-Harris were made to train with the club’s U16 squad. Livramento in particular is thought of highly at the club as he won the club’s Youth Academy Player of the Year last season. (h/t Daily Star)

AC Milan and RB Leipzig are thought to be his admirers. The 18-year-old England U20 international plays down the right-hand side as a wide midfielder and a right-back.

Chelsea should look to keep the trio

Bate, who represents the England U19 team, is a central midfielder, while Peart-Harris, who is also an 18-year-old representing the Three Lions U19 squad, plies his trade in the No.10 position.

The future is something that can be ignored in modern football considering how fast everything is becoming and how short-term success is prioritized by some of the big clubs.

Fans are quick to judge players and managers in their first season at the club itself. In all of this, what happens with the team in 4-5 years’ time is something that can tend to take a backseat.

But the Blues, with regards to the trio, must realize the importance of youth academy players coming through and breaking into the first team.

More Chelsea News:

Not only does it save them big on transfer fees, but it also tends to make the club more relatable to the fans who can take pride in the fact that their team is harnessing local talent.
