According to transfer news from Football.london, Chelsea will have to pay a whopping £86million if they want Kingsley Coman. The Blues are not the only side after the Bayern Munich winger with Liverpool and Manchester United also interested. Liverpool are understood to be the most interested and have had a bid of £40million turned down.
Coman is not being pursued without reason. He has a lot of experience and winning history, having won a host of trophies at Bayern, including the Champions League. Add to that his trophies at Juventus and PSG, and you have a very decorated player at a relatively young age.
A dynamic winger, Coman scored eight goals and assisted 15 in just 39 appearances for the German champions last season. The 24-year-old has two years left on his current deal at the Allianz Arena but wants to leave the club.
That has put sides like Chelsea on alert, who see him as a possible option to strengthen the side. Another interested side, Liverpool, were thought to have made a bid of £40million for him. However, Bayern are holding out for a much higher amount in the region of £86million for their tricky winger.
Chelsea could choose to go after him but they are unlikely to do so at that price. A winger is not a priority signing for Tuchel and Chelsea. Rightfully so, Chelsea need to go after other players in other positions as those need more attention.
