Transfer News: Chelsea looking to pip Manchester United to Jadon Sancho
According to transfer news from Mirror, Chelsea are looking to pip rivals Manchester United in the race for Jadon Sancho. The Blues plan on offering Borussia Dortmund a replacement in Callum Hudson-Odoi to facilitate a deal.
Sancho has gone from an ambitious teenager to one of the best right-wingers in the game. His stats for Dortmund are rather mind-boggling. The tricky winger has made 137 appearances for the club so far, scoring 50 goals and 64 assists.
Manchester United have been the principal club chasing Sancho. The whole saga to sign Sancho in 2020 was a well-documented one. Nonetheless, Dortmund stood firm on their valuation of the player as United had to give up.
Now, Chelsea have hatched a plan which should help them move ahead of Manchester United in the pursuit of Sancho. The club are looking at the possibility of offering Callum Hudson-Odoi to Dortmund in order to expedite a deal. The youngster has slipped to the fringes at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea could part ways with him.
