Chelsea Transfer News: AC Milan want Hakim Ziyech on loan

According to transfer news from Daily Star, AC Milan want Chelsea star Hakim Ziyech on loan. The Italian giants are hoping to repeat what they did with another Chelsea player Fikayo Tomori and want a temporary deal for the 28-year-old Moroccan attacker.

Ziyech arrived at Chelsea only last summer from Dutch champions AFC Ajax. After a bright beginning though, things have hit rough terrain for the Moroccan international at Stamford Bridge with injuries playing a role in his difficult debut season.

Even when he has been fit, Ziyech wasn’t favoured a great deal by manager Thomas Tuchel. As a result, the 28-year-old ended his debut Premier League season with just 23 appearances (15 starts), in which he managed a return of two goals and three assists.

Despite Ziyech not enjoying the best of debut seasons at Chelsea, AC Milan are keen on the player. The Italian side like his technical ability to play on both wings as well as through the middle. Hence, they are hoping to bring him in on a loan deal, much like what they did with Fikayo Tomori.

However, they will have to see if Chelsea sanction the move. Even if they do, Milan will have to chip in with a good part of his wages which stands at £6million per year. Given the success Tomori has had, Milan want to go ahead with more of these loan deals.

While a loan deal may sound appealing, cutting him loose just after one season, would certainly be harsh. The Moroccan has plenty of quality and needs to be given time and opportunity to come good at the Bridge. At his best, he can be a huge asset to the club.
