William Gallas insists Chelsea star N’Golo Kante is the best player in the world
According to Metro, William Gallas believes that Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is the best player in the world. The former Premier League defender feels that the diminutive Frenchman should now be known as the best exponent of the game.
The 30-year-old Frenchman has enjoyed a stellar 2020/21 campaign. Be it under Frank Lampard or his successor Thomas Tuchel, Kante has been a key member of the Chelsea side. He has put in some stellar displays, especially, towards the end of the season, playing an integral role in the Blues’ success.
Indeed, Kante put in Man of the Match displays in the Champions League semi-finals against Real Madrid, in both legs. He then absolutely dominated the Manchester City midfield in the finals of the main event in Porto, with another MOTM performance.
With Kante set to star for France in the Euros, Gallas spoke about how he thinks that his countryman is the best player in the world.
“Everybody loves N’Golo and it is easy to see why. For me at the moment he is the best player in the world. I know people will talk about strikers because fans like to see goals and they appreciate attacking players more. But if you look at what N’Golo has done since he arrived in England it is phenomenal.
“He won the league with Leicester, then went to Chelsea and won it there, he has won the Europa League and now the Champions League as well as winning the World Cup with France. That is amazing, for me he is the best player in the world.”

It’s hard to disagree with what Gallas has said. Kante has pretty much won all there is to be won in a short span. There has also been support for Kante to win the Ballon d’Or from Paul Pogba and France President Emmanuel Macron. Kante is currently in the best form of his career and will now hope to help France win the Euros.
