Transfer News: Chelsea eye move for Jude Bellingham
According to transfer news from Mirror, Chelsea are eyeing a deal for Dortmund starlet Jude Bellingham. It appears as if Erling Haaland isn’t the only Dortmund player Chelsea want. While Bellingham isn’t expected to move over the summer, Chelsea could push for a deal in the future.
The 17-year-old is one of the most exciting young talents in Europe currently. Having burst onto the scenes at Birmingham City last season, where he became a first-team regular just aged 16, the midfielder sealed a high-profile transfer to Dortmund in the summer last year.
Since moving to Germany, Bellingham has absolutely thrived, becoming a permanent fixture in the middle of the park for the Black and Yellows. To date, the teenage midfielder has featured 46 times across all competitions for Dortmund, scoring and assisting three goals each.
Bellingham is understood to be a long-term target for Chelsea. He is not expected to move over the summer, having just joined the club and still developing. The Blues are hoping to push for the player next year in January or the next summer transfer window.

Perhaps Chelsea are taking the right approach in waiting for a transfer. Bellingham, for all his abilities, is still green. At just 17, he needs regular games without any pressure. That is something he will keep getting at Dortmund. In the next year or half, Chelsea can return with an offer and try to get him when he is a more polished talent.
