According to Spanish show El Chiringito de Jugones (h/t Metro), Eden Hazard is eyeing a Real Madrid exit to re-join Chelsea in the upcoming transfer window.
The Belgian winger spent 7 years at Stamford Bridge where he helped the club to two league titles. He agreed to join Los Galacticos in a mammoth £130million deal.
But things have not gone to plan for him. He has started just 10 La Liga games and has 3 Champions League starts this season. Injuries and inconsistent form have plagued his time at the Spanish capital.
And the 30-year-old now wants a Stamford Bridge reunion in a bid to revive his career. Earlier this month, it was reported that the Spanish giants want to sell him in the summer because of his disappointing form. Although, Premier League betting tipsters suggest that the Belgian could hit top form once again at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard back to London?
His side is believed to be accepting offers in the region of £43.4million, which is a big decrease from the price Zinedine Zidane’s side paid to bring him to Santiago Bernabeu. Recently, the French manager stated that he was eager to see the former Lille man succeed at Madrid.
“All the players have their hearts in the club but for now, it hasn’t been possible to see the Eden Hazard we want to see. But I believe he is going to get there. It’s a difficult moment with everything that’s happened but he has a contract and what he wants is to succeed here.”
It is undeniable that Chelsea fans would be stoked to have one of their legends back at the Bridge. Hazard proved his pedigree in England and was one of the best players in the world during his peak.
