Transfer News: PSG enter Eduardo Camavinga race with Chelsea already linked
A report by Telefoot (h/t Football 365) mentions that PSG are now one of the clubs interested in signing Rennes midfielder and Chelsea transfer target, Eduardo Camavinga.
The Blues have been linked with the 18-year-old midfielder recently but are not the only club interested in him. Liverpool and Manchester United are two teams that are also in the running to sign him, with the report now adding PSG’s name to the list.
This does not come as good news for the Blues or the other Premier League clubs. Real Madrid are also linked heavily with him and speaking to TF1 (h/t Fabrizio Romano) recently about his future, Camavinga said that he is flattered by the interest from top clubs but his focus lies at Rennes right now.
“My future? I’ve not yet thought it over with my family. I am first concentrating on Rennes. Real Madrid and Bayern Munich interest is something nice, I can’t lie. It’s nice that big clubs have interest, but I’m not focused on that.”
Battle for Camavinga
The report also mentions that Camavinga ‘looks set to move’ this summer before he enters into the final year of his contract with Rennes.
The teenager has already made 37 appearances in all competitions for the French club this season and has slowly established himself as one of the brightest prospects in France. (h/t transfermarkt)
Earlier last weekend, news broke that Borussia Dortmund will not sell Jude Bellingham amid Chelsea interest. Tuchel doesn’t have a shortage of midfielders at the moment, though.

Apart from the first team starters, there is also Billy Gilmour and young Conor Gallagher who wants to fight for his place in the Chelsea XI next season. It remains to be seen where Camavinga heads but from what is mentioned above, the Blues do not look like the best-placed club to land him.
