According to transfer news from Mirror, Chelsea have secured the signings of Jayden Wareham and Declan Frith. The youngsters were handed deals after a trial period of two months with the club.
Wareham was with Queens Park Rangers prior to playing for Woking. An academy graduate, Wareham spent 5 years from 2014 to 2019 at the club’s academy. He was actually released from QPR before finding his feet in the non-league surroundings of Woking.
In the one season that he was with Woking, he impressed one and all with his overall performances. Even though he did not boast of great numbers that one associate with a striker, he looks to have plenty of potential. Frith, on the other hand, is a defender who plays on the left-hand side and was recently playing for Welling United.
Wareham posted a picture of him signing a new deal on Twitter.
“Another mil[e]stone in my career, so happy to have signed for @ChelseaFC, kick on now, bring on next season.”
Chelsea are always on the lookout for the best young players and Wareham and Frith’s case is no different. In recent seasons, we have seen the club giving chances to the likes of Mason Mount, Reece James and Tammy Abraham, who are from the academy. Wareham and Frith could follow a similar trajectory.
