According to transfer news from Express, Chelsea target Erling Haaland has hinted that he is open to a move. The Borussia Dortmund striker is being chased by Europe’s elite clubs including Chelsea and Manchester United.
The Norwegian hitman has taken Europe by storm with his goal-scoring exploits for RB Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund. In 59 outings for the latter, he has scored 57 goals. Chelsea have held an interest in the player for a while now as they try to add a striker to their ranks for next season.
Now the striker himself has given subtle hints that might just excite Chelsea fans. He spoke about his future and how he has big dreams.
“Borussia Dortmund say I’m 100 per cent staying this summer? I’ve got a contract with Dortmund so I’ll be respectful. Champions League spot secured was so important to me, I want to play UCL football. And I’ve big dreams.”
It looked as if Haaland was surely heading for the exit. But with Dortmund’s Champions League qualification ensured for next season, there is a chance that he remains in Westfalenstadion. However, nothing is set in stone as he could yet move as hinted by his statements.
Addressing the elephant in the room, Chelsea have a real goalscoring problem on their hands. No player managed to get into double figures for goals this season in the league with Jorginho being the top scorer with 7. Chelsea have flirted with a move for Haaland for a while now and in all honesty, they should try to sign him this season.
