Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham backed to replace Sergio Aguero
According to Daily Star, Trevor Sinclair has urged Manchester City to replace Sergio Aguero with Chelsea outcast Tammy Abraham. The former Man City player believes Abraham can be a worthy replacement for the departing Aguero at City.
The Manchester City striker is set to call time on his stay at the club after 10 years and that has led to a whole host of clubs such as Barcelona and Chelsea being keen on his services. The race for Aguero is heating up as he is set to be a free agent at the end of this season. Nonetheless, Barcelona have seemingly won the race for the Argentine.
Tammy Abraham is having a torrid time at Chelsea. It has become an all too familiar sight to see the academy graduate on the bench in recent weeks. The academy graduate has hardly featured over the last 3 months or so. He has often come off the bench in the dying minutes or not featuring at all.
The England international has slipped down the order after the arrival of Thomas Tuchel and Timo Werner. The likes of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz have been preferred ahead of the academy graduate. Former City player Trevor Sinclair felt that Abraham can be a good candidate to replace Aguero at City.
“I tell you who could be interested in him [Abraham] is Manchester City. I think he’s an elite forward. I think he’d suit Pep’s way. He’s clinical and he’s shown that this season as he’s right up there with the top goal-scorers and he’s hardly played.”

It’s honestly hard to justify Tammy’s constant exclusion under Tuchel. At this moment, the best option would be to cut the losses and let him leave for another club.
