Chelsea Transfer News: Olivier Giroud agent reveals player has multiple offers

According to transfer news from Metro, the agent of Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud claims that he has multiple offers. Juventus, Roma and AC Milan have been touted as possible destinations for the soon-to-be free agent.

The 34-year-old Giroud has been with Chelsea since January 2018 when he sealed a transfer from Arsenal. The veteran forward has been a handy player for the Blues, chipping in with vital goals on a consistent basis. So far this term, Giroud has racked up a tally of 11 goals from 31 matches in all competitions, scoring some important goals.

However, the Frenchman’s future at the club is far from certain as he is in the final few months of his contract. Indeed, Giroud’s current deal with Chelsea runs out at the end of the season, which has led to interest from a host of clubs in Italy.

His agent has opened up about how there are multiple offers for his client, mostly from Italy.

‘In January there was the possibility of bringing Giroud to Serie A. We had spoken to Juventus and Roma, when Edin Dzeko was seemingly going to Inter. Now his agent is evaluating various different offers. There are three from English clubs, but also some interesting situations in Spain and Germany.

At the end of the January window, we met with Milan. The Rossoneri confirmed their interest in Giroud, but also told us they were evaluating younger profiles for their attack. That’s the last we heard from them, we’ll see for the future.’

More Chelsea News:

Giroud has been a very useful squad player. Even at 34, the Frenchman adds a lot of value to the side but has become a bit-part player in recent months. Chelsea are all but sure of going after a new striker and Giroud’s departure might not hurt us in that regard.
