Transfer News: Chelsea have four strikers on their wishlist including Robert Lewandowski
According to transfer news from Daily Star, Chelsea have lined up four strikers on their shortlist to solve their attacking issues, including Robert Lewandowski. The signing of a new world-class forward has become a priority for Thomas Tuchel next season.
It’s not the case that Chelsea lack forwards. They have three of them in fact. Yet, the most amount of success has been found by an attacking midfielder playing as a false nine. Timo Werner arrived with a big reputation but has largely underwhelmed.
His backups have been dealing with other issues. Tammy Abraham has been deemed surplus by Thomas Tuchel while Olivier Giroud has not featured much. Amidst all that, Kai Havertz has stepped up playing as a false nine. That has led Thomas Tuchel to prioritise the signing of a new striker in the summer.
Chelsea have been linked with a host of forwards for the same reason. The first on the four-man list is Erling Haaland. The Blues have joined the continent’s elite in chasing the Dortmund superstar. The surprising name of Harry Kane has also been mentioned due to his desire to win trophies despite the London based rivalry between the two sides.
Another Premier League hotshot who has been linked is Sergio Aguero. The Man City legend has called time on his career at City and has emerged as a free-agent option for Chelsea. Lastly, there is the supremely elite Robert Lewandowski, who is open to a new challenge and might consider leaving Bayern if an enticing offer is made.

Chelsea will have to decide hard on who they want leading their line. It’s not always been smooth sailing for the Blues when it comes to signing a striker. While all of the options look really good on paper, Tuchel will have to figure who works best for his system next season.
