According to transfer news from Express, Chelsea could get a chance to land Nicolo Barella next season. Inter Milan could be forced to sell one of their more valuable players due to their financial condition and it could either be Nicolo Barella or Alessandro Bastoni.

Inter Milan may be celebrating their Serie A title this season, but the fact is that they are in financial turmoil. Their Chinese owners, the Suning group are apparently looking for a partner to aid the club’s finances.

Provided that is unsuccessful, Inter are facing the possibility of having to sanction a sale for a valuable asset like Nicolo Barella. He has been one of the most consistent players for Inter this season. He has played in all but one of their league games this campaign as Inter sit atop the Serie A table.

The 24-year-old Italian was loaned out to Cagliari in the summer of 2019 but has become a regular fixture in Antonio Conte’s side since his return to Milan last summer. Nonetheless, Chelsea have held an interest in the player for a while now and Inter’s situation could hand them the initiative to go after the player in the summer.
