Chelsea and Manchester City fans involved in clashes ahead of Champions League final

According to Daily Mail, Chelsea and Manchester City fans were involved in clashes with each other and the Porto police ahead of the Champions League final. Footage was seen where supporters were seen clashing with the local police on Thursday night.

Chelsea are all set to take on Manchester City in the Champions League final as the season gets to its close. Both sides have faced a lot of challenges to get to this stage and they will be hoping to get their hands on that elusive piece of silverware.

The final has not been without its share of problems as it was initially scheduled to be played in Istanbul, Turkey. Travel restrictions due to the pandemic meant that Wembley was a possible option until it was ruled out by the UK Government. Finally, UEFA managed to choose Porto as the venue.

As fans from both sides start to arrive in Porto, things have taken a sour turn. Both sets of fans who had already arrived in the City, clashed with each other and the police. People were seen running on the road, blaring horns and whistling at night. All this could have repercussions as security is likely to be tightened in the next few days on the streets.
