Thomas Tuchel speaks out on Harry Kane to Chelsea
Thomas Tuchel has finally opened up on Harry Kane being linked to Chelsea (h/t Evening Standard). The Blues were among the few clubs to be linked to the Tottenham striker after he publicly announced his intentions to leave the club.
Harry Kane, widely regarded as one of the best strikers on the planet, is set to leave boyhood club Tottenham in pursuit of trophies. Chelsea, along with Manchester City and Manchester United have emerged as potential destinations for the 27-year-old England captain.
A transfer, though, will not be easy to work out as Kane still has three years left on his contract and the fractious relationship between the two clubs due to their rivalry. There is also a good chance that Kane could cost an eye-watering amount.
Amidst all this, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has spoken out on the whole issue.
“If you find any coach around the world who would not like to have Harry Kane in his team, call me again. I would like to speak with the guy and hear about his ideas of scoring and attacking. Everybody loves Harry Kane, but let’s be very, very clear. He is a player for Tottenham. He has a long-term contract and we will not get involved in any press conference with any disrespectful comments about that.”

Irrespective of the package being put together, things will be difficult for Chelsea given the history between the two clubs. So, a move for Kane, as appealing as it sounds, is unlikely to come to fruition.
