According to transfer news from Mirror, Chelsea are among the clubs to be interested in Michael Olise. The starlet from Reading is in demand and the likes of Liverpool Man City, Borussia Dortmund, AS Monaco, Napoli ad RB Leipzig are after him.
The 19-year-old spent time at the Chelsea youth academy as well as Manchester City before linking up with the Royals where he has flourished, establishing himself as one of the best young players in the EFL Championship this season.
Olise’s rise to prominence has seen him attract interest from a host of clubs including the likes of Chelsea, some Premier League club and other clubs from around Europe. It has also been reported that Bayern Munich have also joined Chelsea and other clubs in the transfer race for Olise.
The 19-year-old attacking midfielder is entering the final year of his contract with Reading and has shown little interest in wanting to sign an extension.
So the Royals may very well be forced into cashing in on him at the end of the season. Naturally, this situation has only served to fuel the interest in him.
Chelsea, having let Olise slip through during his youth days, can benefit from bringing him back to the club despite the plethora of attacking midfielders already available at Thomas Tuchel’s disposal. However, given the competition, a deal could be difficult.
It has been reported that Chelsea have dispatched their scout in pursuit of the German attacker Francis Onyeka.
