Team News: Chelsea to be without key midfield star for Manchester City clash

As Chelsea take on Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final, Football.london has provided some team news. Thomas Tuchel’s side are all set to take on Pep Guardiola’s men to determine who will get to the final. The winner will play either Leicester City or Southampton.

Both sides are fresh off their quarter-final wins in the Champions League. They have both looked impressive in their run-up to this stage but Tuchel will meet his match against Guardiola and he will have to deal with some injury problems ahead of that.

Team News: Andreas Christensen could feature for Chelsea against Manchester City

Andreas Christensen

The Dane has been out of action since the Crystal Palace game last week. He did not feature against Porto as well. However, signs are good in the sense that he did make it to the bench and could be set for something similar.

Mateo Kovacic

Kovacic could miss the Manchester City game with a hamstring injury. It was during a training session on Monday ahead of the Porto game that he pulled his hamstring. There is no timeline on a return and it is unlikely that he is risked into the game so soon.

N’Golo Kante

The midfielder was a huge doubt for the Porto game but with Kovacic already out, Kante had to be fast-tracked in. He did play out the entire game without any hassle, which should clear him for the City game.
