Chelsea News: Scott McTominay says Eden Hazard was the best player he faced

According to news from the club’s official site, Scott McTominay has labelled former Chelsea ace Eden Hazard as the best player he has faced. The Manchester United midfielder spoke about the encounters he had with our former star during his years in the league.

Hazard was a talismanic figure for the club during his seven-year stay at the club from 2012 to 2019. During that time, he gave us so many moments of joy with his goals and assists. He was central to the club’s trophy-winning season during that time.

With McTominay rising through the ranks at Manchester United, he squared up against Hazard a couple of times during the 2018-19 season. The Scot spoke about the same and revealed him to be the toughest opponent he has faced.

‘Obviously, we’ll take Messi out of that because we’ve already mentioned him. I’d probably say Hazard. I just remember it because it was not a reality check because I played well.

It was a semi-reality check. This guy, he’s sharp. Especially for me, he’s little and has a low centre of gravity. So, he’s tough to get to. He was super sharp and super smooth.’

Hazard left for Real Madrid in 2019 in a record deal. However, he has suffered badly there with a glut of injuries so far. He has hardly produced any of the form that he showed at Chelsea and has mostly been on the treatment table.
