Chelsea News: Sergio Conceicao takes a jab at Thomas Tuchel post-match
According to news from Mirror, Porto manager Sergio Conceicao claimed that he was insulted by Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel post-match. The Blues managed to hold their own in a gritty game against Porto and even though they lost the game, they progressed on aggregate.
The game was cagey, to say the least, with fouls and subsequent stoppages coming at both ends. The only meaningful bit of action came right at the death with a spectacular bicycle kick from Mehdi Taremi.
However, there was a little bit of altercation between both managers after the final whistle. While they approached each other, they barely fist-bumped and then there were a few words between the two which was unclear. Conceicao was seen shouting and looked upset at something Tuchel said.
However, Sergio Conceicao felt that he was insulted by Tuchel during that altercation.
“I was insulted by this man who is next door [Tuchel]. I was telling the referee that the fourth referee heard those insults. That’s all.”
