Chelsea Transfer News: West Ham open to offers for Declan Rice
According to transfer news from Mirror, West Ham are open to offers for Chelsea linked Declan Rice. West Ham manager David Moyes conceded that if any offer came for Rice as well as Soucek, the club would have to consider the same.
Rice has been a target for the Blues since the start of this season and it was said that then manager Frank Lampard was especially keen on bringing Rice back to Chelsea, where he was once an academy player.
However, after Lampard’s sacking, it was expected that Chelsea’s interest in Rice would drop since he was the one who was keen to sign him. It even caused disagreements between Lampard and the board.
While Tuchel has not overly chased the Englishman, links with the player still persist especially given how Rice was a part of their academy and left.
Moyes did claim that like all other clubs, they would have to consider an offer for the player if it came through but it would take a gargantuan amount to sign him.
“Yes, any club can make offers for players but we’ve not had any big offers. I hope we don’t get any but if we do, like any other club, we would consider them.
I don’t know where the Bank of England is for Tomas Soucek but I’ve said with Declan, it would take the Bank of England and the Royal Bank of Scotland to get him. It will have to be the Bank of Czech as well for Tomas!”

Now with Thomas Tuchel at the helm, as expected, interest in the West Ham midfielder has mellowed down a bit. The club are likely to push for other targets, which does not include Rice. Also with so much money being asked, Chelsea might just think twice before going for him.
