“I just want to win” – Hazard warns Chelsea that Real Madrid will go all guns blazing at Stamford Bridge

Eden Hazard says Real Madrid will go for the win against Chelsea in the second leg

According to Daily Mail, Eden Hazard has claimed that Real Madrid will go for the win against Chelsea in the second leg. The sides ended the first leg all square at 1-1 with Christian Pulisic and Karim Benzema getting on the scoresheet for their respective sides.

Chelsea have a small advantage due to the away goal. That means Real Madrid will have to score at least once to avoid losing the tie. It was a game that started frantically as Chelsea looked to take the lead. However, that lead would last just 15 minutes as Karim Benzema whipped in a volley.

There were, however, a few subplots to the game, with Eden Hazard set to face former club Chelsea for the first time since leaving in 2019. The Belgian did come off the bench for a brief cameo and showed some of his usual skills. As the tie is poised well, Hazard went on to say that Real would go for the win in the second leg.

‘It could be better and it could be worse! We will go there looking for the win. I am just going step by step, of course I want to play, I want to be on the pitch. I played a bit more today than before, we have games before the end of the season and I want to be ready. I am just happy to be playing again. It’s always good to play against friends. Now I am a Real Madrid player so I just want to win.’

As Hazard said, Real Madrid really need to go for the win as a 0-0 would send Chelsea through on away goals. Chelsea have been resolute at the back this season and they have it in them to hold Hazard and co. at bay for 90 minutes. However, given how Chelsea started the last game, it is likely we will also look to go for the win.
