According to news from Sport Witness, Hakim Ziyech could look to leave Chelsea amid issues with Thomas Tuchel. The winger was a regular in the team under Frank Lampard but things have changed since Tuchel took over.
The Moroccan joined the club amid fanfare this past summer, with a deal being agreed last season itself. He came to England in scintillating form for Ajax over the last few seasons. However, he has failed to carry over that form into the current season and has made just 17 league appearances.
While Ziyech suffered from injuries at the start of the season, he was still one of Frank Lampard’s regulars. After the arrival of Tuchel, his minutes have dwindled a bit. The German manager has given more time to the likes of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz in a bid to get them in form.
Even though the player has done well in games against Atletico Madrid Sheffield United when he bagged goals, it has been claimed that he is not clicking with the manager.
He received just 7 minutes in the win over Crystal Palace and had to sit on the bench for the Porto win. Chelsea’s change of managers is said to have had an adverse effect on Ziyech which could, in turn, see him leave the club.
While it is understandable that Ziyech is struggling a bit under Tuchel, an exit seems the easy way out. However, the Moroccan is a quality player capable of unlocking defences and should try to make the most of his chances and hope everything works out.
