According to transfer news from Mirror, Chelsea target Andrea Belotti will decide his future after the Euros. The Torino striker will likely be a part of Italy’s squad in the summer tournament and then think about his next club.
The 27-year-old has been a consistent, prolific goalscorer in Serie A for Torino, season after season. However, with the Granata staring at the prospect of relegation this term, Belotti could be on the move in the summer.
Belotti’s contract with Torino runs out in the summer of 2022. Torino are keen to tie him down to a new deal but the forward has concerns given Torino are in a relegation scrap.
However, the striker is set to delay any talk about his future until the end of the Euros where he will likely be a part of Roberto Mancini’s Italy squad. He could also choose to stay back if Torino survive relegation and he likes their rebuild project.
The Blues have had their problems with forwards in recent seasons, with no striker seemingly being able to nail down a starting berth.
Chelsea have been linked to Haaland and despite being the first choice, his price tag could be a deterrent. That has seen Chelsea move towards more attainable targets such as Belotti, who can be prised away due to his contract situation.
