Frank Leboeuf blasts Thomas Tuchel for the usage of Christian Pulisic
According to Express, Frank Leboeuf has blasted Thomas Tuchel for using Christian Pulisic as a wing-back. In the last game against Leeds United, Thomas Tuchel stuck to his back-three formation, with Pulisic starting at right wing-back.
This was only Pulisic’s second start under Tuchel. Since switching to a back three, Pulisic has found games hard to come by. However, Chelsea icon Frank Leboeuf has criticised Tuchel for using Pulisic in such a way that rendered him useless.
“It was interesting to see Pulisic. But he played on the right which I think is the wrong side because he’s mostly a guy who can start the action from the left, being right-footed.
[From the left], he can get add pace into the game and shoot with his right foot — then maybe you can find him useful. But on the right, he’s completely useless for me, and he didn’t show more because of that position, except for giving crosses.”
He was generally unimpressed with Chelsea’s attacking game throughout the match. The Blues were held to a goalless draw by Leeds United as they struggled to produce much in the final third. They could have lost the game had it not been for Edouard Mendy’s heroics.

The draw does leave the door open for West Ham or Everton to climb into the top four. Chelsea will feel that they dropped two points in a winnable game. Goals have been hard to come by under Tuchel even though the defence has looked much sturdier.
