According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano (h/t Express), Chelsea transfer chief Marina Granovskaia has already decided on two summer signings for next season. The club are looking to back Thomas Tuchel in the transfer window after a promising start since he took over from Frank Lampard last month.
Tuchel’s current record stands at 6 wins and 2 draws from 8 games with the most notable victory coming in the last game against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. Progress has been made in the Premier League too with the club up by four places to 5th in the standings. They are firmly back in the race for a top-four spot.
Granovskaia could again splurge the funds next season, much like they did last season, with two signings in mind. And, according to Romano, it is likely to be a striker and a centre-back. Erling Haaland’s name is the one doing the rounds along with a few others with the Blues being heavily linked to the Borussia Dortmund star.
Among the centre-backs, Jules Kounde, Sven Botman and David Carmo have all been pointed as targets for the London-based club. Even ex-Chelsea man Glen Johnson was of the same opinion to sign a striker and a centre-back.
The Blues could be set for another summer of ludicrous spending as the club look to provide Thomas Tuchel with the players he needs to push Chelsea back among the top spots. It will no doubt be interesting to see who Chelsea try to sign and who they end up signing next season.
