Real Madrid star Isco reveals Chelsea dream amid Arsenal links
As reported by the Mirror, Real Madrid playmaker Isco has a desire to play at Chelsea’s home ground Stamford Bridge, amid interest from fellow London club Arsenal.
The 28-year-old has been with Real Madrid since 2013, having joined from fellow La Liga club Malaga. He had been in an integral member of the team for a majority of his time at the Spanish capital outfit.
During his time at the club, Isco has won two La Liga titles and four UEFA Champions League trophies. But things haven’t been the same of late.
The Spanish midfielder has struggled for game time under Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid over the past year or so. Indeed, Isco has made just 11 appearances this term, with only three being starts in La Liga. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Having been out of favour, he is eyeing a January move away from the club, with Arsenal registering an interest ahead of the January transfer window.
While Arsenal may be eyeing a move for Isco, it seems like the Spaniard has a soft spot for Chelsea. In an interview with Soccer Bible (h/t Mirror) when asked which stadium he would like to play at that he hasn’t already, Isco had answered: “Stamford Bridge”.
During his time with Real Madrid, Isco has never had a chance to face either of Arsenal or Chelsea so far.
