Chelsea winger Lucas Piazon may be on his way out again

According to a report by Italian football outlet Tuttomercatoweb (h/t Pink Un), Chelsea winger Lucas Piazon has been linked with a move away from Chelsea, with multiple clubs monitoring him.

The 26-year-old joined Chelsea in January 2012. The Brazilian playmaker was one of the most hyped players during that time but failed to live up to expectations in the following seasons.

In his time as a Chelsea player, the winger has been loaned out 7 times. He is currently on loan at Portuguese club Rio Ave, but might be recalled by the Blues.

And now, Norwich City could make a move for Piazon. However, they are not the only club linked with him, as Ligue 1 side Bordeaux as well as Stoke City are also monitoring his situation. (h/t Pink Un)

Time to leave?

It is no surprise that Piazon is being linked with a move away from Chelsea yet again. The winger himself stated back in October that the club wants to keep loaning him out so that they could ultimately sell him permanently.

“They send me out on loan with the expectation of selling me and making some money with me. I think that’s more or less what they think.”

In all honesty, Piazon is not too old to get his career back on track. At 26, he still has time to prove himself and settle down at a club instead of being made to play in a different league every year.

That came as a substitute in an 8-0 rout of Aston Villa in December 2012. Apart from that, he has 2 cup appearances for the Blues, and it is highly unlikely he will appear for the first-team ever again.
