Lampard gives latest team news in a short reply as Chelsea get ready to take on Fulham
Speaking in the pre-match press conference (h/t Football.london), Chelsea manager gave uplifting team news ahead of the Blues’ game against Fulham this weekend.
Lampard stated that N’Golo Kante is suspended for the game but will return to training on Friday. Apart from that, he said the team is “all good”.
“We’re all good. N’Golo Kante is suspended but he’ll be back in training tomorrow. So we’re all good.”
These words would come as music to the ears of Chelsea fans who saw the team lose some important players this season due to injury.
Hakim Ziyech, Callum Hudson-Odoi, and Ben Chilwell have all recently returned from injury. And now, the boss says that the squad is fit and ready to go.
This news comes after Reece James was declared fit for the upcoming games. Danish centre-back Andreas Christensen is also fit for selection as Chelsea enter a busy second half of January.
Timely boost
The Blues have 5 games coming up this month. Chelsea face Fulham tomorrow in the Premier League before playing against Leicester City on Tuesday night.
Then, they welcome Championship side Luton Town to Stamford Bridge on the 24th. Following that, they have back-to-back home games in the league; first against Wolverhampton Wanderers and then against Burnley on the 30th.
The Englishman would be buzzing given that the squad is fit before entering such a busy period. Chelsea are 9th in the table currently but a few wins on the trot could see us rise up the table rapidly.
