“He is very happy” – Chelsea star’s agent reveals his client’s current stand at the club

Jorginho signed for Chelsea from Napoli and could yet make a return to Italy

Joao Santos, the agent of Chelsea star Jorginho, has claimed that his client could return to Italy.

Jorginho was signed from Napoli by the Blues under Maurizio Sarri and he has had a mixed time in England.

The Italian has now become a regular under Frank Lampard and has 10 Premier League appearances for the Blues this season.

Jorginho also has four goals in all competitions and currently, there seem to be no plans for him to leave. Santos was quoted by Football.Italia as saying (h/t The Sun):

“Jorge is a Chelsea player and he is very happy there, but I wouldn’t rule out a return to Italy in future.”

The report adds that a move away in the upcoming winter window is unlikely. However, things could change come the end of the season.

Jorginho is not fluent in English himself

A new face to replace Jorginho?

The Blues do have a lot of talent in the midfield, with the likes of N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic providing options for Lampard.

The boss likes to play with three midfielders and two of them playing in advanced roles. Jorginho leaving the club could open the door for some of our younger players to shine or we could end up signing a fresh face too.

Lampard has been backed by the board since the transfer ban was lifted, and we have brought in several attacking talents.

Hakim Ziyech and Kai Havertz are capable of playing in the midfield. We are yet to see the best out of the pair but they should be given some time to adjust to the league and country.

It will be interesting to see what our plans are for the end of the season. The team hasn’t clicked regularly, and bringing a couple of fresh faces could be the answer to get us roaring again.
