Thiago Silva was not in the Chelsea squad that faced Sevilla in the Champions League
A report by Football.london has revealed the reason behind Thiago Silva not being named in the Chelsea matchday squad against Spanish side Sevilla in the UEFA Champions League clash on Wednesday.
Chelsea fans who feared the worst would be relieved to know that the reason to leave out Thiago Silva from the 23-man matchday squad against Sevilla was entirely tactical.
The 36-year-old Brazilian defender has not faced an injury and was left out of the squad to get rest before Chelsea play in the Premier League this weekend against Leeds United. (h/t Football.london)
